Enrollment

Registrations may be made online, in-person, or by telephone. Payment must be made at the time of registration. Register early – enrollment is limited and all registrations must be completed two business days prior to the day of the training. Walk in registrations will not be accepted.

Refund Policy

Credit for another 4-C training event will be issued if a cancellation occurs by 4:00PM three business days prior to the workshop date. After this date, we CANNOT issue credits or refunds, even in the event of an emergency.

Attendance

Only paid participants may attend trainings. Children may not attend trainings or 4-C events. Participants must remain for the entire workshop to receive a certificate of attendance.

Cancellations

If there are not enough registrations to hold the class or workshop or in the event of inclement weather, the 4-C Training and Quality Improvement Services Department may cancel the class or workshop and all registrants will be notified by phone or email. The class will either be rescheduled or refunds a refund 4-C will be issued.

How Do I Register For a Training?

To register for a training online – using a Visa/MasterCard:

  • Click on this link to access our online registration system
  • Click the “Login” symbol in the upper right corner

    • You will need login before you can select the training(s) you would like to attend
    • If you do not have a login you will need to generate one at this time
  • After you have logged in, select the training(s) you would like to attend

    • Please note: you will not be able to register for trainings that are marked as FULL
  • Once you have selected the training(s) you would like to attend, click on the green CART symbol in the upper right corner

  • Click on “CHECKOUT” and enter your Visa/MasterCard information

    • Please note: payment is required at the time of registration
  • Select “Process Payment”

To register via mail – using a Visa/MasterCard, check, or money order:

  • Request a training registration form via phone at 608-271-9181 or email at [email protected]

  • Fill out the form completely, including credit card information (if applicable), as well as the name and date of the training(s)

    • Please note: payment is required at the time of registration

To register over the phone – using a Visa/MasterCard:

  • Call 608-271-9181 and say you would like to register for a training

  • You will either be redirected, or the person answering the phone will take your registration

  • Provide the name and date of the training(s)

  • Provide the name or names of those being registered as well as contact information (personal or child care center address), phone number, and email address

  • Provide your credit card (Visa/MasterCard) information

    • Please note: payment is required at the time of registration

To register in person – using a Visa/MasterCard, check, money order, or cash:

  • Stop by our office during normal business hours and request to register for a training
  • Fill out the form completely, including the name and date of the training(s)

    • Please note: registration is first come, first served – registration ends two business days prior to the date of the training
  • Payment will be taken at the time of registration and a receipt will be provided (or one will be emailed to you)

    • Please note: payment is required at the time of registration

Training FAQ’s

Unfortunately, we do not currently send training reminders to those who are registered. It is the responsibility of registrants to keep track of the trainings they are attending.

Unfortunately, if you miss a training you were registered for, we are unable to reimburse you or transfer your attendance, as per our training policies.

If you are unable to attend a training and contact us by 4:00pm the day before the training is to take place, we can discuss your options regarding transferring your attendance. Call us at 608-271-9181.

As per our training policies, “Children may not attend trainings or 4-C events.”
You are welcome to bring food with you to trainings held at 4-C. There is a soda machine available, with drinks costing $1.25 (trainers do not have change).
We’re sorry, but only paid registrants are admitted to trainings, as per our training policies. However, if translation services or other personal assistance services are required, we welcome those individuals to attend (without receiving continuing education credit – those wishing to receive credit must register and pay prior to the event).

  • Please note: those providing translation services must be over the age of 18, no children may be used to offer translation services
We welcome service dogs, in accordance with ADA guidelines.

  • Please note: no other animals are permitted
Training cancellations are rare, but occasionally occur due to weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances. If this occurs, all registrants will be informed via email/phone. Once contact is made, registrants will be informed of their options.

You may cancel a training you’ve registered for up to 4:00pm the day before the training takes place. To cancel your registration, call 608-271-9181 and say that you would like to cancel your training attendance. You will need to provide your name and the name and date of the training.

If you need to cancel a training after 4:00pm the day before the training, we will unfortunately not be able to refund your purchase, as per our Training Policies above.

4-C provides trainings within the 4-C service delivery area. Unfortunately, we are at times restricted by funding, trainer availability, and registrant interest in what we can train in certain locations. If you’re interested in seeing a specific training in your area, feel free to email us at [email protected] with the training topic, the city/county where you are located, and the number of staff/registrants you believe would attend the training. Also note that new trainings are posted on our website every few months/quarter. Check back frequently, or register to receive periodic emails to inform you when new offerings are available.

Our agency will contract with centers, support groups, and others to offer certain trainings for a fee. For more information, see On-Demand Trainings.

We are unable to take additional registrations for trainings that are marked as “FULL.” Contact [email protected] if you’d like to be waitlisted due to a cancellation.

We are able to offer many trainings at a discounted price due to our relationship with funders, but we are unfortunately not able to lower the cost any further than what is listed. We are sorry to say that additional scholarships for trainings are not available at this time.
